La Liga Half Time Wrap Up

-Congrats to Leo Messi, on achieving a great feat, absolutely remarkable what this man can do.

-Barcelona is six points up on their nearest competitor and it is the other team from Madrid, Atletico.

-Sticking with Atletico, Falcao is playing out of his mind this season and in my opinion, the best striker in the world (I do not consider Messi a striker).

-Real Madrid is sitting in a disappointing third place.  Once the transfer market opens up, I expect them to make some signings to improve the back line, among other positions.

-Malaga is currently in fourth place, after a substandard 2011/2012 season.  They are getting a lot of help from players such as: Javier Saviola, Joaquin etc.

-The biggest disappointment to me, has been Athletic Bilbao, so much talent, but cannot put it together.  It may be time to sell some high priced players.

-Great to see Obafemi Martins back in one of the top leagues in the world, really missed him, as he is one of the players, I really used to like when he was at Inter Milan.  He has also contributed to Levante, by scoring six goals so far.

Expected Transfers

-I can see either Benzema, or Higuain leaving Madrid during the winter transfer market.

-I think Falcao should stay at Atletico, until at least the end of the season.  You never know, maybe Atletico can make a run at the title.  

-Similar to Real Madrid, I feel that Barcelona needs another center back, especially with all their injuries at that position.

-Llorente will not be sold until the summer, but Bilbao should not wait that long, with the money they could get back, they can sign some players to help them get higher on the standings.

-Ronaldo rumours? Not just yet, let’s wait until the summer at least.
